This type of magazine is usually included with AK's that are marketed towards areas with magazine capacity limits. Because of recent magazine capacity laws many post ban Kalashnikov rifles could only be imported into the country if they only accepted magazines in single stack low-capacity configuration. Therefore, this magazine was designed to be used in these rifles. Though the magazine holds only 10 rounds, which is the maximum number of rounds any newly manufactored magazine can hold, it is great for bench rest shooting because the magazine length does not interfere with the bench. This magazine can be a little harder to find then most AK magazines.
