This magazine was never actually issued for use with the Kalashnikov, but instead designed as an aftermarket magazine. This aftermarket magazine was commonly produced by companies know for their poor quality standards, such as USA magazines. Constructed out of two magazines cut in half and welded together, it produces a magazine that looks quite “out of place” and ugly, though the above picture is one of the nicer looking ones. Most shooters find that this magazine makes the rifle to heavy when fully loaded and awkward to handle because of the magazines very long length. If you are looking for a large capacity magazine over 50 rounds don't waste your money, spend a little more and purchase a drum.
